• CONGRATULATIONS! Horton School achieves the Modeshift Award!

  As a small, rural school we are committed to caring for our environment, our community and our well-being.  We are delighted to achieve this award as it reflects our continued focus on sustainability and making a difference.  Taking part in the programme has focused our endeavours!  It was lovely to have the award presented by Louise Harris, South Glos Councillor and Cabinet Member for Climate and Nature Emergency.

  Huge congratulations to Abbi and Naomi for their half marathon achievements over the weekend.  Our thanks go to them for running to raise money for the school's trim trail and for their great example to our children.  If you have not supported them yet but would like to, their just giving page will remain open for the next two weeks.

• Trim Trail Runners - support if you can!

  Exciting news! Two of our parents, Naomi and Abbi (Jamie's mum and Archie's mum) are running the Chippenham Half Marathon this Sunday in aid of Horton School PTA. This will provide much needed funds for our new trim trail installed this year. If you are able to support them, please visit the link below.

• Burst the Bubble and Park and Stride

  For some families it may be too far to walk or cycle to school in the mornings but see if you could park and stride.  Look out for the signs on lampposts near the school which mark the 5 to 10 minutes spots from Horton Primary.  Ideally, park in the Village Hall car park and walk to school - let us know how you get on!  See the attachments for more information about the Burst the Bubble campaign and the distance from school to walk 5-10 minutes.

  Welcome to our brand new school website! We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The website is extremely easy to edit by all staff at the school, so check back soon for new updates!
