Ofsted and Performance Data

Ofsted

Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in April 2025.

What is it like to attend this school ?

“Horton CofE VA Primary School is at the heart of the local village community.  Pupils are helpful, kind and welcoming.  They take part in a wide range of local activities such as church services and carnivals.  Pupils exemplify their core values of love, compassion, generosity, truth and forgiveness.”

Anna Vrahimi – Lead Ofsted Inspector, His Majesty's Inspector

SIAMS

All Church of England dioceses use the National Society’s framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS).

The framework provides a process for evaluating the extent to which church schools are 'distinctively and recognisably Christian institutions'.

Towards this objective, inspectors seek answers to four key questions:

  • How well does the school, through its distinctive Christian character, meet the needs of all learners?
  • What is the impact of collective worship on the school community?
  • How effective is the Religious Education (in VA schools and academies)?
  • How effective are the leadership and management of the school as a church school?

We were very proud to receive an outstanding judgement in our latest inspection.

“The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Horton CE VA Primary School as a Church of England school are outstanding.”
