Sports Day

Posted by

What a fantastic afternoon at the Village Hall for our annual sports day!

It was a great turn out, with lots of parents, grandparents and friends supporting the children, who all did their best and showed great sportsmanship throughout.

Highlights of the day included a great skipping race between the reception children, lots of fantastic sprinting, sack-racing and egg dropping, as well as very competitive toddler and parents’ races!

With such sporting ability across the school, the points competition between the 3 houses was a very close call. In the end, Totteroak came out on top, closely followed by Mapleridge and Highfields.

Well done to everyone who took part and a big thank you to Miss Peplow and the FOHS for helping to organise and set everything up!

Apple Day Wednesday 9th October 2019

The children had a wonderful day cooking with apples. The Robins helped to make Apple Crumble, Swallows make Apple Muffins and Owls made Dorset Apple Traybake. The next day all the children sampled the food – and they all agreed they were DELICIOUS.
