We had a lovely first day back at school. The children dressed up as Ancient Greeks and took part in a range of activities. They tried out the Ancient Greek sport of throwing the  javelin and had a go at Greek dancing. They tried a selection of Greek food including stuffed vine leaves, olives and taramasalata. They learnt about some of the Greek myths such as the story of the Minotaur. They were also able to make a name label using the Greek alphabet.

Whole school trip to Berkeley Castle

We had a wonderful school trip to Berkeley Castle on Tuesday. The sun shone for us which was lovely. The children were extremely well behaved and very interested in everything we did. It is definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been already.

Wow day!

We  started back with our traditional WOW Day based on our topic of Kings and Queens. The children looked fantastic. We did manage to have our parade although it was a little soggy.
